The Fiesta

Def. The Fiesta: a feast to celebrate a village's patron saint; a festive gathering where the relatives come together for food, drinks, chitchat, and dancing - in other words, it's where they go to get crazy!

First, there's the commute. In Cebu, it takes 45 minutes to drive 5 miles. I'm not exaggerating.

This is how Mama Tiny travels: in style, on a tri-sikad (to pedal).

Amen. Bless. Mano po.

The Food:

Hangin' out:

Uh... Ummm... Yeah, a gun. Ok. Bing used to carry one of those around once upon a long, long, long time ago, when she was a misfit.

Let's eeeeeeeeat!

Burrrrrp!

Gracia!

Pass the toothpick please...

Ah, then the siesta.

The beverages:

And of course, there are the photographers to document the craziness in the family.

The first crazy act opens with a mang-harana.

A very masculine drag queen performs an acrobatic dance routine that get's the craziness started.

And NO, (s)he is NOT a relative!

These are the relatives!

What are they looking at?

What's so funny?

Heheheheheheheheheheheh!

Hahahahahahahahahahahahah!

Hohohohohohohohohohohohohohohoh!

Now, these ARE my relatives!

After the drag quancles and quosins leave the floor, the serious dancing ensues.

Hello my darling Micchel (Pronounced the regular "Michelle").

Yes, they're dancing.

No? You don't want me to dance like a queen?

It won't make me less of a man, although I could make a very pretty queen...

Yes, honey, I'm coming home soon.
